What a wonderful tribute to you and all our Independent Coal Miners. Was great to see you Davie and remember the Hegins Inn, Brian & Elsie.

David A, Been out of the mines for 29 yrs, & dumbest thing I ever did was to leave & take a job in municipal gov't. Worked at Porter Tunnel for Kocher Coal & really enjoyed my job. I'm a PSU grad, both BS & MS in unrelated fields, but should never have left the mine. If there is another Independent picnic, please let me know. We must stay together as PA miners. Hank Hoffmeister
